Converse launches their new limited collection at the end of summer 2021. Some of the iconic creations from Jean- Michel Basquiat are used at the Converse fuse as a celebration of the vibrant works and street designs.
Jean-Michel Basquiat was a big American artist in the 1980’s. He was famous for his neo expressionist style. Basquiat started his graffiti works in the 1970’s. And this collection is made to give respect to him.

After many years, Basquiat moved his creations to canvas but it was not a direct success. After years and that is in 1982, Basquiat came up with his painting “Untitled”. This skull painting was sold in 2017 for 110.5 million USD. Until today, this painting still remains as the most expensive painting ever.

Unfortunately, Basquiat passed away at 27 years old. But even though his career was short, he created lot’s of popular art and he also collaborated with a large number of artists, such as Andy Warhol and Keith Haring.
