Hello Kitty: Grow at Your Own Pace

Hello Kitty was designed by Yuko Shimizu and was added to the Sanrio lineup in 1974. Sanrio is a company that has produced character merchandise and gifts since 1962. Hello Kitty appeared on a Japanese vinyl coin purse in March 1975. She came to America in 1976 when Sanrio opened a Gift Gate store in San Jose, California.

Trendy

During the time Hello Kitty was created, many people in Japan thought that foreign countries, especially the UK, were super trendy and stylish. Because of that, Sanrio gave her the English name Hello Kitty after initially considering the name Hi Kitty.

Sanrio has maintained that Hello Kitty is a little girl and not a cat, even though she is portrayed as a cat-like character. According to the biography created by Sanrio, Hello Kitty was born in the suburbs of London. She lives with her parents and her twin sister, Mimmy. Her hobbies include baking cookies, playing the piano, and making friends. She’s a cheerful third-grader who enjoys a happy, colorful, and simple life.

Timeless Icon

Hello Kitty is truly a timeless icon. With her sweet charm, she appears on collectibles, accessories, and fashion items all over the world. Over the years, she has teamed up with many famous brands to create adorable and unique collections.

One of the cutest collaborations I’ve seen recently is the Puma x Hello Kitty collection!

This sporty cute line blends Puma’s bold streetwear style with Hello Kitty’s sweet and playful charm. You’ll find sneakers, hoodies, and accessories in classic black, red, white, and pink tones complete with Hello Kitty graphics that make every piece feel extra special.

I know you don’t want to miss any of them! I’ve added the links in the images to make it easy for everyone to shop, as always.
