New Balance 550 launched in 1989 and it was marked as baseball shoes. In 2020, Teddy Santis, as creative director of New Balance, resurrected New Balance 550. After being forgotten for about 30 years, New Balance 550 released back late 2020 as a limited edition product. 

 New Balance 550 returned to the full time catalogue in 2021 and very fast became a global fashion favourite. The combination between vintage look, baseball fashion in the 80’s and limited availability makes this series extremely popular. The new hype is born. New Balance 550 became one of the most difficult to find.
